Careers Guidance with IRL Pathways
What is Careers Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG)? When is it needed?
Guidance begins with finding out what point you are currently at on your personal career path.
-
School or College Student looking for work experience, volunteering or part-time employment to build skills and understanding of expectations in workplace settings;
-
School, College or University Leaver finding out about the options you have available for your next steps – researching opportunities, making applications, writing a CV and preparing for interviews;
-
New to Employment, with limited or no experience of paid employment for whatever reason – volunteering can be a great place to start to build valuable employment skills;
-
Change of direction, when you have been working in a sector that no longer fits for you and you want to explore something different, or maybe you are facing redundancy.
Whatever Your Starting Point,
We're Here to Help?
We can arrange to meet up for a formative assessment and together we can create an individualised Career Management Plan that sets out key steps to take to help move you forward. We can arrange follow up contact, via phone, text, email, or another meeting to check your progress.
What we will do – review qualifications, experience, skills and qualities to establish the foundations and take things from there. We will explore options available to you and may challenge your ideas in a constructive way. It is important to be realistic and honest about how to achieve your goals. A few more steps may be necessary!
